blck polly is sized for inner demention and pex for the outer so you loose volume with pex of equal sizing

I you look around your codebook, you'll find the facts to back up the answer despite acts of redicule, regardless of how anyone depicts you.

I thought black poly was banned for water supplies. Maybe I am thinking of something else. Anyway, what is wrong with schedule 40 pvc/cpvc, whatever?

Re: Replacing Galvanized Water Service

around here the guys use copper. They have a machine they refer to as a mole and it shoots the copper underground till it pops up next to the house dig around the base of the house and pull it inside and connect it on both sides

Or its hand dug depending on the plumber or circumstances

Horizontal boring or pulling the new service in behind a bursting head while pulling out the old works if you can't pull inside the old service (assuming it can be done for whatever reason). Digging will be required at both ends.

Never trust a smiling moderator. It means we have no clue what we're doing. lol, at least, I don't.

I trashed the double post, reported myself, and sent myself a warning PM. I'm waiting on my response now. If I'm not contrite, I'm gonna recommend Nathan ban my a55.

By a pet mole, train him for a few months, then he'll be able to trench out the hole without disturbing the soil above, when finished, skin the mole and put him in the crock pot overnight, tastes like chicken, deeelicious.
