Propane Line Proximity

This is a question for the plumbers, gas fitters, and site utility guys. Are you aware of any distance requirements in the mechanical codes or fuel gas codes that specify how close a direct buried propane line may be to an electrical conduit buried in the same ditch? There's nothing in my electrical codes that would prevent them from touching each other in the same ditch, but I want to make sure that I'm not going to violate some other code that I don't know about. Application is a remote propane generator.

Thanks!

I don't see a problem with that, what material is your conduit, and what material is the propane line? I'm guessing they are both plastic.

The propane is a CTS sized yellow plastic crap, and my conduit is PVC and has 120/208 wiring.

There is no code that I know of that will not allow them in same ditch. I have run many pool heaters where the conduit and gas are in the same six inch trench.

Re: Propane Line Proximity

I always though that they had to be seperated by a min. 5' in the same ditch if they were running parallel to each other and if the crossed over they had to be a min. 12" seperation by sand.
