Pedestal Sink

Okay, i,m laying out my stubouts for my pedestal sink. the manufact. cuts shows the hot and cold water lines outside of the pedestal. This cant be right, is it? That would be an eye sore. Shouldn't they be behind the pedestal? Thanks.

Chris

Re: Pedestal Sink

They don't have to be behind the pedestal, however they would look much better if you did. What I have done in the past is when you can't install them behind the pedestal (do to a floor joist or beam) you use nice brass shutoff valves with brass supply's and also get a 6" piece of brass pipe and have it come out your floor not the best way but it looks very nice. Oh one last thing I would use a nice brass p-trap or brushed chrome
Good Luck
Justin

Re: Pedestal Sink

The trap jogs into the pedestal and hides, ya only see about 2 inches of pipe with the drain to wall set up.

I normally bring my feed lines out about 5 or 6 inches down from the basin and snug them up a few inches from the pedestal itself, ya have to almost lay on the floor to see them. A little flex line and your good to go.
