No Stand Required
Here if we use the new style gas fired heater that have the safety system on them they do not need to be on a stand if in the garage. Is this allowed where your at?

Not allowed here. I asked the inspector about that and his explanation was that the code did not allow for that as an exception to the rule.

Been using them here for about 5 years now. I love them. Our city codes still require them to be on a stand though.
