New Construction DWV
Review the DWV scheme shown in the attached. Project falls under NY State code, which has adopted IPC.
A walkout basement contains a full bath and washing machine. Sewer drains are all underslab, and the main goes out to a septic tank. The arrangement of stacks required the rearrangement of interior framed wall locations. The washing machine drain at L in the pic is vented via a Studor Redi-Vent right in the washer box. The basement bath's WC is above sweep fitting 5, the lav trap arm san-tees into the drain above fitting 11, and the tub's trap arm goes out from where the 3,4 fittings provide a junction for venting. The 2" stack above fitting 10 vents the sewer branch from the WC. The mainfloor bath's WC goes into the 3" stack above 15, and the lav's trap arm can be seen adjacent. The shower in that bath uses a 1.5" stack going down into the main at fitting 14. The kitchen sink is routed down its 1.5" drain through 19 and 18 to the main. What would you add or change? Re: New Construction DWV
We've got three, count 'em, three, of your local brothers-in-trade here signing off on this scheme, and one of 'em's going to do the work.
Really. But you pros outside our territory have piqued my interest, with all your hinting that we're clueless and the scheme is all wrong. So, why don't you stop being cute and spit it out! I'm dying to get this done the right way, but no one is offering anything. |
