Loosing Pressure.

Hey all you plumbers, I was hoping you could help out a stupid drywall guy. My kitchen sink is acting weird. When you turn on the hot and cold water at the same time it loses pressure, I would say probably half. With only the hot, or only the cold on it is fine.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Re: Loosing Pressure.

Remove the areator from your spout and open the faucet on both sides see what kind of pressure you have then , also look in the areator for any trash that may have built up , then reinstall it , then see what happpens .

This is a little far fetched, but.....

If the fausset is good, maybe you have a THERMOSTATIC shower valve, with a bad check valve?

Don't you just love those outsourced made type of faucets.

Do the areator trick first, take it off and see if the same problem occures, if you still have that problem, then sounds like you have a lemon of a faucet, you get what you pay for.

Re: Loosing Pressure.

Is this a two handled faucet or a single lever faucet?
