Lift station

Been asked to dig a walkout basement.... I looked at their site and it looked to me like there will be an issue getting to the city sewer. I pointed this out and recommended possibly moving the dig a bit to get some fall into the sewer. Property owner said they wanted it where they staked it and they were planning on using a lift station. Not real common around here and I know zero about them... Anyone got any words of wisdom on how they work? I wont be the one installing it but my guess is I will be doing the sewer hook up.... Just curious if this changes anything for me once the sewer is stubbed out of the house. Thanks

Thanks, is the lift station some sort of a grinder/pump system?

Probly, It becomes a forced main on the discharge side of the pump.
