Kitchen Sink Is Clogged!! Any Suggestions

Okay.. here is the deal.. The kitchen sink is not draining! Double Sink and the side with the garbage disposal drains. I can see water sitting in the p trap if I look in the side without the disposal. The diswasher fills into the sink and the remaining water sits in the dishwasher and overflows onto the floor. I have run a 30 foot snake down the drain and nothing appears to block it. I have used the liquid clog removers and those do not work. Tonight I had to suck water out of the sink and dishwasher with a shop vac. Any suggestions?

the dish washer should be hooked up to the disposal side of the drain. you need to call a plumber and fix that or clearing the drain will be an every day thing

Check your codes, some codes, state and or local will not allow dishwashers connected to the disposals.

Why`s that? I don't understand why you wouldn't hook up there?
Gotta have a place to catch all the food waste from the dish washer.

Is it because when the line becomes plugged you can force waste back down in the washer with the disposal

Right, larger food particles are broken down.
Also, many codes require an air gap between DW and drain, Madi needs a plumber, or might take a peek at the DIY section of this site.
