Re: Insulation Water Heater And Hot Water Lines
Think I read, insulating the
first 6' of water lines on both sides gives the most benefit... unless heater is in an unconditioned space? And I'd have no idea about the "tropics."

The heater is electric, it is already inefficient by it's design.

Just looked at a potential job out in the boonies. Electric W/H, oil forced air. They want to look at oil W/H ![]() What can you do? Gas service is 10 miles away! LP is swapping one head ache for another near as I can see.

Re: Insulation Water Heater And Hot Water Lines
Here, most LP co's will install an underground tank with a service contract. I was involved many of them for generators following Francis/Jeanne/Wilma.
I'm still trying to convince Ol'#2 because our water heater is past due for replacement and I want a gas oven/cooktop. I guess you can tell who does most of the cooking here.
