Inquisitive Idiot Or Curious Clown (flat Rate)

I started a plumbing company in Sep. of '04. I think I've heard about all the slamming back and forth of T&M vs. Flat Rate that I can handle. Let's agree to disagree and make money as a trade.

I worked in T&M shops for eight years before starting my own, and of course went the only way I knew how with pricing, T&M. Now to prevent customers from whining and complaining about an hourly charge that sounds rich for a turd chaser, (their point of view of course,) I am heading to a flat rate program. I have had no problems with previous attempts at flat rate, but now it's time to stop "playing plumber" and begin doing it. The uniforms are on their way, third new truck, and it's a new year. Can anyone out there tell me I'm taking the right steps to grow? I don't believe in tip toeing the water when everyone in the pool is having fun, I'd rather cannonball.

Is this primarily a service company?

What or whose flat rate program are you using and why?

Have you looked into PHCC and their offerings?
