Humidifier
Hi guys ,I had central installed this past summer ,the handlers have hydro coils .I want to install a humidifier on one of the units,ut it is in an unfinished attic .Now the hydro coil feed is filled with glycol but the humidifier needs a water feed ,but i am wondering if i insulate the attic do you guys still think there might be a chance that the humidifier feed would freeze

Re: Humidifier
If any of the pipe will be exposed, insulate the exposed line with ¾ wall thermal pipe insulation and it should be fine.

Re: Humidifier
I would insulate but if you live in a really cold climate than heat tracing it would be a good idea. Even a 1/4 supply line could do an isane amount of damage in a short time.
