The House That Roared

Most of you will never encounter this but here it is just for fun:
My first house was an older rented one. When I was half a block down the street I heard a loud roaring. Sure enough it was my house. I figured out that the copper pipe that had been snaked up through the walls to the toilet had a natural frequencythe same as the fill valve. I attached a slug of brass to the float valve which changed its frequency to one different from the piping. End of problem. Of course if I had owned the house the right thing to do would lhave been to go in and properly support the piping.
