Heat Traps
I picked up a new Richmond 75 gal. water heater today and it came with the screw in Heat Traps. Because of the opening size in them they look like they will decrease flow rates to my system. Do you guys use these or should I just leave them out. My old heater just has the copper fittings threaded into the tank and that worked just fine for the 19 years prior to today.

Re: Heat Traps
On the rare occasion that we install a tank type water heater, we use brass nipples and 3/4" brass unions, and go to copper from there.
