Gas Pipe Test


I installed gas pipe thru garage to mechanical room and kitchen. used blue pipe dope and preasure test to 15 psi. it seems to be leaking somewhere but cant find the leak. ive been checking every seem with soap bubbles but find nothing.any suggestion on what else i can due???

Did you soap teat the pressure gage, sometimes this will leak at the stem on them.

Test the fittings with soap as well(not just the joint), it's not uncommon to get a fitting with a sand cast hole.

here in jersey 15 psi . passed and the homeowner is now injoying his gas stove. now I i will be selling him a gas furnace . he had propane for cooking oil for heating.
