Re: First Year
made twice what my old boss was payin'. Work from your house take on no help. Send out flyers to your regular customers, the ones that you see often at your current job. Put your picture on the flyer, so they recognize you. Start putting your first and last name on invoices where you are currently employed. And remember no matter what your boss is paying or willing to pay, you will make more. Keep a spotless truck(van is for me), that is quiet with no leaks. Your name and number on the sides in big letters and , of course "plumber". Legible, none of that hard to read cute lettering. You want to be seen.
Had enough yet? Don't go to bars in your van. Don't pull expensive boats/toys with your rolling billboard. Be the cleanest on the job that is possible. This all assumes that you are a damn good plumber, you don't want callbacks or floods. If you are lazy, don't even think of doing this. I think I am tapped out on ideas for now, maybe someone else has some to add. I thought of another few, if you work from home, a little discount to your nieghbors will assure no complaints. My garage, I built just before this venture, Houses all my stuff and truck and it opens away from the road so I can hide out form all the people wanting stuff, you know "how do I" and "what's MY price for". Good Luck, and remember don't be scared. Bob |

Re: First Year
Yeah, I wouldn't want too many customers to know about that badass lookin' motorized surfboard! I am more into the 30' center console made for 100+ mile runs in the Gulf. Your boat looks great and is probably faster than its shadow.
