The prices look good as do finished product. I wonder where it is made and the quality under the chrome. Some of the styles look like other popular brands. One of the showerheads looked like a Speakman, and some of the spouts look like grohe. The widespread lav valve on the first page looks like Kallista. I would try one. Be sure to beat them up for a plumber discount

What's the point? There Moen Monticello rip off for $700.00 (doesn't say if it includes the valve)

The real one from Moen for $375.00

Do you mean like "Delta"? All a well known name brand means is that they have put some money into marketing. In my part of the country if you ask 100 plumbers what faucetry anyone should have in their house, 99 of them will respond with "Delta"! Hah! What a load of junk! Every year it seems Delta lessens quality in order to lower material costs (at least I guess thats why they are using cheaper materials in their products). Don't get me wrong, from a repair standpoint I love Delta, since service and repair is what I do. Delta refuses to redesign to a ceramic disc cartridge and consequently I rebuild a lot of Delta faucets (that's $99.00 - $199.00 depending on what type of Delta faucet it is). When one is no longer worth rebuilding or if the HO just wants a new faucet I never even offer Delta anymore. If they are determined that's what they want, I will give them what they want but not without explaining to them exactly what they are getting. It's not just Delta either their are many other "big names" that are making inferior products and selling like crazy because of their marketing efforts and/or their relationships with the "box stores". I don't fault them necessarily, it's not that their products are so horrible it's just that their are other products similar in style (they all copy each other anyway) but far superior in quality for the same or lower cost usually.

So what's my point? It's that it is ultimately the HO's responsibility to know what he is buying but He is at a huge disadvantage because he most likely does'nt know where to begin when assessing quality/cost issues. So He, assuming he trusts you, relies on you to tell him what is good and what is not so good. After all, you are the professional. You are supposed to have acctually done the research required to know what is good/better/best. So what I am saying is that we all need to get out of our comfort zones and stop selling things to HO's simply because company X has a "name" or more accurately, simply because that's what we have always used.

As for me, unless they change the way they do things, I will be quite content to never install another Delta faucet.

Smells; I trust you are aware that ALL the major brand faucets selling at the BOX stores tho branded as Delta, Moen, Price Pfister, etc etc are BUILT TO THE SPECS called for by that box brand NOT the same as those you buy in plumbing supply houses? Kinda could be a good reason for what you are experiencing?

Delta and Peerless, Price Pfister should not even exist, I'm talking about known trouble free faucet, Moen, AM/STD, Grohe, Kohler.

You want to watch the "good, better, best" catch phrase too. It's a marketing slogan. As we all know the real slogan should be: "sh!t, ok, good, better, best" Each with their associated prices and maintenance/longevity issues.

Re: Faucets , ETC.

I like to use Chicago faucets. I think they are well built, stand up to hard use, and are fairly easy to work on. The prices aren't that great. (DO NOT BUY FROM THE WEB SITE) But, they aren't too bad.
