the short version is that the properties of ChlorinatedPVC make it more suitable than PVC for certain applications - most notably potable hot water plumbing.
Well it's great to have it, but unless you just have a bunch of money to burn I'm not sure why you would put it in. But to each his own, I'm sure you and your plumber will both be happy.

Just wait until a fitting cracks a few years down the road in a wall and causes thousands of $ worth in water damages. Copper or pex will look cheap then
Only time I use CPVC. But I'm not a plumber, I just play one in real life. :jester: No comment on the electrical. I'm usually neat.
Relax! It's my house.
Ooops!
How can you see the words or color of the writing?
Guess I have to check my pics closer next time. Thought I used cpvc on that. Try to make a joke and the joke is me.

The OP is a HO, he has no clue what anyone is saying other then being happy that he don't have to pay extra for the copper, and to make sure after he takes a shower his skin will not turn different color.:whistling:no:
My first experience with Pex was a Beach house in 2001-2. That's in New England. People just didn't know about it then. It takes awhile for people to adapt to change. Not many plumbers wanted to test it out after they've been installing copper for years.
