Dedicated Dishwasher Drain

I am trying to figure out if and how I can set up a dishwasher without plumbing it to the kitchen sink drain. The closest sink is over 12 feet away. So my thought is that i can just do a rough plumbing to a P trap, then just hook the dishwasher drain line to the p trap and do a loop up to the counter top.

Should i have any concerns with setting it up this way? Is it safe to set up a dishwasher this way without an Air Gap? Any recommendations or advice is greatly appreciated.

We do it all the time for island dishwashers.
