Curious

One of the things I do is take care of maintenance issues at our church. Seems we always have a toilet issue (15 toilets...it's a big church). The valves and or flappers are a monthly problem. They just don't seem to last for any great length of time (may be because they mostly remain little used during the week). Is there a higher grade product available...something you plumbers would recommend? I've just been grabbing whatever at ACE as the need arrises. Would rather replace with something a little more durable. Thanks.

Is it a Catholic church?

With a nick like Shamrock, of course it is.

Fluidmaster offers a pro version of their fill valves. They claim they are better than the regulars. I think you can get them at plumbing stores only.

Re: Curious

Somebody awhile ago suggested that it may be because of lack of use. Toilet sits undisturbed for the most part, 6 days out of 7....rubber componets get brittle or stiff...not sure if thats has any bearing or not. I know for a fact that the more 'popular' toilets don't have near the problems as the ones that see less use (for some reason, the least popular is always the middle toilet...both men and women).

You mean the ones with a gay priest that admits it?
