Re: Contract License
First off, do you mean "essay"????
Secondly, most states require 4 years of verifiable experience working for a licensed plumber- do you have that experience or do you just "know about plumbing"??? Bob |

Re: Contract License
Hi phil
Where are you located? It is like Bob said. You need 4 years of verifable experience and then you can apply for the license with in your state. Although, you only need two/three years (it has been so long that I kind of forgot if it is two years or three years) of experience(verifable) if you have two years of school works( or AA degree) for the trade that you applying. In your case, it is plumbing. Good luck!

Re: Contract License
Unfortunately you will most likely have to put in at least a portion of the required time with a "Master" or Licensed Plumber. Most municipalities’ require that you pay for the application fee up front before they - the plumbing board - will review your application. I don't know where you are located, but I would suggest going down to a board meeting and "networking" with the members of the board. In a situation like yours they may make an exception. You never know you may get a job offer (most board members are larger plumbing contractors) and be able to prove your worth in the field. If you are in the State of California or another larger jurisdiction that handles licensing, all you can do is pay the non-refundable fee and hope for the best.
Best Wishes to Ya! |
