Cast Iron Undermount Sinks
I'm getting mixed opinions on installing cast iron undermount sinks. Some say they are too heavy but Kohler's line is full of them. Is there any special installation required for a cast iron undermount to support the extra weight? Anyone hear of any problems w/ them due to weight?

I have installed hundreds of them in granite and marble tops with 0 problems, we have the countertop people epoxy mounting studs into the underside of the top. We can't do that with Corian or Slate tops, the material is too soft for the epoxy, so we have the countertop people cut tee slots in the underside of the top and use tee bolts to hang them, being very careful not to overtighten the bolts. I use a torque wrench set at fifteen inch pounds to tighten them.
