Plumber_Bill The Old Master Trade: Plumbing & Heating Join Date: Jul 2009 Location: Allentown, PA Posts: 90	Is the bottom of a water heater concave or convex? I always thought that the bottom plate on an electric water heater was concave. That the bend went up into the heater from the bottom. Now I am not sure -- tore this out today -- 15 yrs old. Seems like it should have gone BOOM! All photos are the bottom of the tank.
