I did a ceiling almost identical to that about a year ago for a hands on kids learning center, except it was all oval shaped. We used Flex-C-Track and the Ultra Arch No Coat system. It took me a month to frame it, a little over 3 weeks to sheetrock it, and about a week and a half to finish it, I brought one of my friends in the trade in as a sub to help with it.

Wish I had taken some pictures, cause it really did turn out perfectly.

It was fun to do . My wife put the bead on. paper bead and trim tex arch bead in the squares. No coat on the long off angles. She put it all up in a day. I don't know how long it took the boarders as we only tape now. I never have seen it finished though I know crown moulding was going in each one. Here is the kitchen.

There was a total of 18000 ft of board- arches and bulk heads everywhere -3 bay garadge 14'high -all round bead except the squares. It took me and my wife 8 days start to finish. They were long days though as the home is out of our way.

You must be busy, are you doing all custom or is it a cross section of standard and custom.

I do mostly High end work. People call them custom, but I see the same plans with different walls and arches added here and there. I actually get a chuckle out of it. As for being busy , I could work 28 hour days eight days a week if I wanted. I don't . I work to live not live to work. I am privalaged to be asked to do what alot of people are intimidated by and am paid very well for it , plus being a sub , I don't have the added headaches that goes along with running a bunch of staff. I play with my tools and let others handle the bull.

I work because it is just play; I have a prairie style house just off Base Line, coming up in the Park later this year. It has not gone to permitting yet, we are always looking for talented subs. Private Message me if you would be interested. Heck I have three basements and a house in the city that will be ready in two weeks or sooner…..
