Tri-axle Refurb

Finally got around to posting some pics, although I didn't take too many and some are blurry. It is a 89' Autocar with a 400 cummins and 8 speed Fuller Here is a list of things that we did to her.

sandblast/paint box
sandblast/paint frame
sandblast/paint wheels
sand/paint cab and hood
install factory rebuilt tranny
install new fan and fan clutch hub
install new clutch and had the flywheel cut
install new valve cover gaskets
rebush front and new pins
install new front springs
rebush lift axle
rebush rear trunions
rebuild rear bogeys
changed a couple brake drums and lining

All in all, we spent about $15,000 in parts. What do you do, buy a new one or fix the one you have ???

Re: Tri-axle Refurb

Rino,

It looks like the truck came out nice. Gee what a nice shop you have. If we had the facility I would buy used and refurbish all the time.

Did you keep track of the labor?

New tri-axle $150,000.00 +/-
