Rock slope remediation
Here's the latest one I've been working on. Some big rocks fell onto the police cars below so we're putting in rock bolts and hanging ring nets over the slope. First one is of the slope before we did anything. Second one is hanging a net.
Maybe some of you guys in central Jersey know where this site is.

Did someone get killed by a falling rock or something? That seems like allot of money to spend to cover your butt. What is the building below? Government?

MC is correct about just covering your but, OSHA is making the town do this since people are working so close.
tgeb this job is in the middle of a residential area, not on the highway.

Your right , I read the beginning of this thread back when it started but never reread it again since I posted a comment. I'm glad to see that they are being proactive about it before someone dies. I used to estimating and project managing for a union fence company. They did guardrail and fence. So I often catch myself still looking at guardrail or lack of guardrail while I'm driving along the freeway and I think, that doesn't meet caltrans standards, or that large fixed object needs to be protected by guardrail, or I wonder how many people have died or need to die before that thing gets resolved.

Trying not to sound saracastic, but if people didn't purposely drive into or over things, wouldn't it be just as safe. Inattention ranks around 70% or so for causing 'accidents'. Not the objects.
