new truck

picked this up yesterday. i have been towing with a chevy 3500. it has done a great job and been the nicest truck i have owned. however it didn't dump and is a little light for towing in these mountains as much as i have lately. the 3500 had the power but not the brakes. this truck so far feels much better. also, my old gas dump isn't the most reliable machine going. great for local small runs but not much else. i'll probably be getting rid of it over the winter.

I have the same truck. As soon as those front tires wear out, (which they will quickly) replace them with highway tires. Those trucks will eat those knobby tires in about 15,000 miles. Otherwise, mine has been a great truck.

Nice truck. I bet that you got a good deal on it since they are basically giving them away now.

thanks for the compliments,
the engine is the 6.6 duramax with the allison transmission. it does run a 5.13 rear end which seems to make a big diffrence in power over the 3500. pricewise i am very happy with the deal i got. it is a 06 model with 2700 miles. ended up paying just a bit more than half the original price when it was new.
