new old truck

after way to much thought and worry i bought a dump truck a few weeks back. didn't get what i was wanting but hopefully it will be what i need. it is an old '79 chevy with a gas engine. it is running pretty good and seems to do suprisingly well towing my little backhoe. definitly not going to win any races but she does stop the package well. i figured going this way would avoid a note and gas is cheaper these days. i have used the dump a few times and it does fine. happy with the purchase so far. AC would be nice but it does have an auxilliary fan screwed into the dash.

That's a very nice looking truck. I'd take that in a heartbeat.

thanks for the compliments. i am happy with it so far. before getting this i was towing with a 1 ton chevy duramax. having a dump bed is much easier. wish i had gotten one sooner.

That looks like a good truck, it should serve you well.

I had an old Ford that looked much the same for a long time.

Glad to see you found something. Feels good to buy something and not have a payment attached!

This truck brings back some memories for me of my granddad's company. He bought one just like this to double his hauling capacity. He already had a late 60's model lime green Ford 6cy dump. We all thought he was really steppin up with times with the purchase of that GMC.

the truck is doing great still. for the money it has been worth its weight in gold. it's not the least bit flashy but just keeps running. does like the gas. hopefully over the winter it will get some much needed tlc.
