Re: And My Wife Wonders Why I Drink

we've been using ground penetrating radar and vac trucks on a lot of jobs. As for gpr, its usefulness is directly related to the amount of experience the operater has.

Do you know all that is there when you bid and include the Pain in the ass costs in your initial bid, or do you do change orders for that sort of thing?

The one thing I hated about doing sewer house connections was working around the utilities. Really grinds on the nerves.

Shoot, ain't nothin' to that! You should see what's at the base of a major bridge in downtown Ft. Laud.! Imagine all of that in a 16X16X6 hole + a water main and you're adding a 16" force main. Been there.

I pity the guy in the ditch with the shovel that day.

This makes me imagine a young kid looking down into the hole and asking, what you looking for and then the frustrating grin of the man with the shovel in hand .

(which one in that picture do you suppose would be the most expensive to repair if you had a dig-in?)

Doesn't even look like there were any paint marks for that URD cable.
