We have about a foot of snow on the ground which is about 2 feet that has packed and is hard. I am sick of the "COLD". And I'm just plain tired of the weather altogether. Wish I had some grandkids to go visit and spoil for a while.

Fish shack.... I just dont get it. I drive through a state park that has a lake (Pine Lake state park) almost daily and when I look out and see the shacks I just cringe.... I fight with cold and snow on a daily basis and some folks cant wait to see it get cold enough to go sit on a slab of ice..... If I ever get old enough to retire I think I will sell off the cows and go South for the winter.... Paul

Same stuff here. 12" with a nice layer of ice below. It was 2 degrees this morning. I'll be heading to Punxy to talk to Phil and see what I can do. What is a good way to bribe a groundhog?

I know a guy that just loves the cold. His rule of thumb is "If I can get the bike outta the driveway, I am riding." this guy is insane. As I stated in another thread, It has been real mild here.

There are few things more depressing than iron sitting in a yard with snow covering it. The diggers and trucks look lonely and forgoten

BTW, have I ever metioned I too hate the cold and want to spend 2 to 3 months in the Keys. I beleive i have said that a number of times

Even if my iron were sitting in a yard but in the sun, they wouldnt look so sad

I hate the snow too.....and we don't even have any!!

I am sure before the winter is over we'll get some, and I'll hate it even more.

I don't like the cold much either, fell on the ice last week, helping spread ice melt on a few properties.

Good thing I ain't any older, I could a broke a hip.

Not too much snow here, but really cold. Today was 0 degrees with a windchill of -10. We have some work, and doing some small stuff in the shop.

winter is to be expected and it will be different every year.

We have had slightl less snow than aveage with 7" on the ground a week ago (maybe 5" today). Temps have been lower than normal. - Tolerable but not good for too much work outside unless there is no wind. Freewats, roads and streets are bare. Fortunately enough snow to keep the frost from going too deep in the undisturbed area. Tolerable, but not as bad as the "good old days".

I saw the fishhouse, but it a little too far out. How many holes? 4, 6 or 8? Do you have satelite TV? refrigerator? I assume it is heated and is the thermostat on a timer? How many does it sleep and how many tables for cards and how many recliners. Are your lines connected to bells, buzzers or lights? when you run your 4 wheler out, do you have plug connected to the generator?

No seriously, when I got up off the ground. Those where the first words, (well the second words), out of my mouth.

The guy driving the truck jumped out to see if I was OK....I hit the pavement Hard!

This morning was the first time I have seen the lawn since November! I was complaining about the dogs tracking in mud. Started snowing about 5 pm, thick and wet!
