Elevated Sand Mound

This is a elevated sand mound that I did a couple weeks ago. It is a pressurized dosing system. It is 960 sq. ft and it took 256 ton of sand and 28 loads of fill for berm material. In the background you can see the holding tank, dosing tank and a propane tank that I buried.

Here are the laterals for the system and all graded up and almost ready for seed and mulching.

I see tire marks on the topsoil. Does that pass in your area?

What do you mean......why wouldn't it pass ?

BTW.....that isn't topsoil. That is just plain fill. I just hide the rocks, I am better than the easter bunny.

I (perhaps mistakenly) assumed that you had the same zero compaction rule that I had to deal with here. The only thing I'm permitted to compact is the clay berm. If the 'spector sees tire tracks on the finished product, it's a no-go.

Re: Elevated Sand Mound

Running a dozer on the slopes is a form of compaction. Around here, they only inspect chisel plow, sand and testing of the system. We've done so many around here that most inspectors will just wanna see the testing. I did rake it off before I seeded and mulched it.

Re: Elevated Sand Mound

rino,

Nice neat looking installation. Good work.

Gee I guess if I ever go to Penn. I shouldn't start digging in the what looks like an ancient Indian burial mound?
