Dad's 955


These are pics of our 955K when my dad brought it home back in the 80's. He put it back together and painted her up.

It looks great looks like it just came out of the Cat. plant,If not better !!! I'm no operator but the 2 machines I ran and enjoyed is the 225 and the D-3 we just used them to dig sewer laterals, ground roughs and back filling .

Rino,
Great job, looks good! Does it run also? Man you guy's really resurrected that baby. Next time you take pictures like that can you fine a volunteer in a bikini to pose with it . Topless works also, but not here. I don't mean you either.

What year, late 60's - early 70's ? That's not the stock R.O.P.S for that machine is it ? Just curious !

Yeah, it runs. We don't use it too much anymore. My dad used it to dig the foundations before we got a excavator. Last year we only put 30 hrs on it. It doesn't go to good in the mud.

BTW.......these pics were taken when I was about 6 or 7 yrs old.

you were 6 or 7 when it was repainted in the last pic? Well then Nick's right tell your Dad he did an awsome job. But thats no excuse for not seeing some good looking "Babe" on there.

Looks like it was pulled from the bogg on the Mackenzie Highway, there are a few buried there I am sure.......man that had to have been a lot of work.
