Basement I Dug Today
dug this basement today out on a farm. they lost their house in february to a fire....concrete dude staked it out. we dug, LOL...we found the old septic tank. dug it out, filled with gravel

How big is that hole and how long did it take you to dig it? Did you dig it with an excavator?

house will be 1680 sq feet. 2' overdig.....took 3 1/2 hrs with 210 hyundai

When you dig a basement with an excavator, do you have another machine to push the dirt away or do you move it twice with the hoe? We dont have a track hoe yet, my Dad doesnt see the need for it. We use a John Deere 655c(liebherr) loader to dig basements with and to clear and grade with. I have only been on a track hoe one time and that was very limited.

average basement...with a 200 sized hoe, you can cast the dirt far enough away from excavation that ready mix trux can get in there
