Steel Price

I just took down a redbox kiosk and estimate there is about a thousand pounds of steel.

Great condition, painted and no rust.

I hate to just scrap it out for as little as it goes for per pound.

Should I list it on Craigslist and if so, what is a fair price?

Re: Steel Price

Scrap steel here is about 6 cents a pound. Unless someone can figure out a practical use for it, it is only worth that.

Is it one of these?

I guess you never know - you could try putting on CL for a while, then if it doesn't sell, scrap it.

Steel is cheap - we get 7 cents/lb going out, and pay +/- 35 cents lb coming in the door.

Here's a weeks' worth:

Re: Steel Price

It is exactly like the top picture. Mix of stainless and steel. Without the red upright box of course... Lol

Re: Steel Price

Off -topic,

That stamped asphalt is really cool!

We make some of the custom stamps periodically for Municipal / Police/ Firehouse logos.

It's a neat process. What heaters are you using?
