Cutting Steel

I’m building a custom TV desk requiring steel attachment of the television. Since the brackets are visible, the cuts need to be clean and straight. All of the “under the desk” cutting was accomplished with a reciprocating saw, cleaned up with a grinder and a file. Need straighter cut on the part that shows. Are there blades for my 10” chop saw that will do this? I need to cut 1/16” wall thickness square tubing, 1 ¼ “ wide and some ¼” right angle brackets. This is probably a one time job so I don’t really want to spend a lot of money on a saw blade (unless required).

Thans for your inputs

Joe

A regular chop saw wasn't designed to cut metal...but you can use this...remove the plastic insert on the table before you cut...it will melt.
