Christmas Tree Lift


Any help on how to make to rigging for a christmas tree lift?

They make rigging for this type of lift. They are just chokers with safety hooks on one end. If you are just sending up 2 pieces you just need one. You can hook one piece directly to the ball of the crane and the other to the penant. You obviously need 2 chokers as well. If you are picking more then 2 pieces you should have a few diffrent lenght penants. Or the same size penants and diffrent lenght chokers. You dont want the pieces banging into each other so they should be at least 10 feet apart. If you dont want to buy the proper rigging all you need is some chokers, some shackles , and some safety hooke. You shackle the hook into the choker , put the other eye of the choker on the crane and you have a penant.

You may check the legality of "christmas treeing" in your area, I believe that California has made it illegal, and other states may have as well.
