Vinyl Vs Aluminum Windows
I am quoting a job that is a public building with parts of the wall being the old Kalwall system. Customer is after gov. grant for weatherization and energy upgrades and wants to remove these walls, frame them in and add some windows. Do they make an aluminum window with a thermal break (which would be their first preference) or is vinyl the best way to go? Job is in NH where the temperature swing can be 80-100 degrees between summer and winter days.

Re: Vinyl Vs Aluminum Windows
Yes, there are aluminum windows with thermal breaks. Aren't there any specs for the job that define what window units will satisfy the requirements?
