Storefront Barricade

Starting a new job in a mall next week, need plans for building a quality storefront barricade. Any idea where I can find some plans?

Storefront barricade? What does that mean - a temp shhetrock or plywood wall for security during construction?

You took a job yet you don't know what you're building?

The GC is required to have a pre-con meeting with the mall. They will specify exactly what the mall requires for their barricades. WHo is the owner of the mall? That will all but answer the question there. There are no plans for a barricade though. Most malls will give you 3 ft to come out from the nuetral piers and 12 ft high, with either a hard lid or plastics to keep the dust in the space.

However I just built a barricade in Baton Rouge, that had to go to nearly 16 ft high.

Where are you at? What store are you doing?

Re: Storefront Barricade

just look at some airport or embassy/consulate entrances.

I think those big reinforced concrete jacks would look nice, a whole field of them. Any car bombers who try to get through and detonate and burn in the middle should be left in place also, as a warning for those who try to follow.

Even the most dedicated car bomber, even if he/she is duct taped in, will lose spirit as they are driving past burned out shells of former colleagues.

Make sure to plant some flowers in some well casings also to spruce up the area a bit.
