Seam Cover For 4'x8' Wall Panels

Hello,

I am looking for a way to improve a certain area of our product. We install buildings or rooms that are completley black on the inside. Ceiling, Walls, Flooring, Doors, etc. Our installations are never local, so we try to pre fabricate as much as we can. Most of the time we are installing these overseas. Currently we are using black 15/32" Marine Grade 9-ply Plywood with a black laminate finish for our walls which are usually 16' tall. (4 rows in height)
Consequently we are creating a lot of seams between the boards that need to be covered up. Right now we are using 1/8" thick rubber flooring that we purchase on a roll (let's say it's 100' long and 20' wide) and manually cut this flooring into 2" wide strips. Then we back it with a heavy duty double sided tape (imported from Germany), roll it up and ship it in boxes to our site where the install team rolls it on the wall.

Obviously we have a lot of labor in this part of our product, not talking about the margin of human error, resulting in decrease of quality in our product. We have also been having issues with the glue of the tape in extreme weather conditions causing the 'seam tape' to come off the walls.

I know I could have custom rubber strips made up from different manufacturer's but that would only solve part of the problem and is not my first choice. Would love to obtain a few alternatives.

Is anybody out there that has a decent idea; what material to purchase; and where to find it? It needs to be at least 16' long and available in black. Preferably in the area of 2" in width.

Thank you for any help out there.

Here is a picture of the wall panels that I am talking about to get a better visual.

Possibly a channel similar to what is used for f.r.p. installations?
Don't know how much of this material you usebut I would estimate the tooling cost at $2,000 or so.I was unable to open up your link to look at application.

are you only using the backer on the lateral seams or vertical also? As previously stated some type of roofing material could be used. Maybe EPDM seam tape, or something similar would work.

question: why are your 4' butt seams not staggered? this may help with the backer. It would make it a much stronger finished product.

There are steel studs 2' OC behind the panels. Every 2' horizontally and every 1' vertically we have a fastener in the panel, but not on the 'inside' of the panel. Just around the edges. We cannot stager the panels because that would create too many seams that need to be covered since these panels are the finished product on the interior. From past experience we havn't had any problems as far as panel support. ALL seams need to be covered.

What about black T-mold that's used on the edges of laminated tables? Shim the panels exactly far enough apart to tap in the T-mold.

Not bad. Is that available in a greater width? (2" instead of 3/4"? Maybe 1 1/2") I'll try to find it myself.

Thanks!

Outwater is great, I use them all the time. I get black edgeband for some of the tables and shelving I make. I get it in 1 1/4" width from there. I am pretty sure they go wider.
FRP is fiberglass reinforced panel. They may make something similar for the thickness you are looking for. I know I have seen the "dividers"(as I and my supplier call them) in at least 1/4" maybe 1/2" also not sure. I will ask my guy and post his answer.
