Re: A New Concrete Saw?

I have a partner with 14" blade, its pretty mean . my friend fixes these saws for a living, for a hand held he recommends partners.

I've had a Partner 950 for almost 10 years. no problems. Starts on the 2nd or 3rd pull.

Stihl..... Not because it sounds American or anything like that! I used to log in Alaska on a remote island and they are unbeatable.Hands down, Stihl every time.

Re: A New Concrete Saw?

I have had a couple of stihl saws and they were constantly in for repair. I have a husqvarna k371 that I have had serviced once in 8 years. I use them for cutting concrete most of the time. Based on my experience I would only go with husqvarna partner saws. They have been using active filtration for years where as stihl has just taken the same technology and engineered it into their saws recently. Buy husqvarna partner u wont regret it they are a bit cheaper than stihl is and they even throw in a freen diamond blade stihl doesn't. Husqvarna partner user forever. If u stihl guys wont a powerful saw throw away your ts700 and ts800 and buy a husqvarna k1250. Worlds most powerful gas powered quick cut. 125 cc engine. nothing can touch it.

I've no problems with my Makita. It could have more power. I clean the air filter often. The best advice I have is to use water whenever you cut.

Still=name brand, And quality. But they are heavy as hell. I run Partner cause they are light weight, and a k750 cuts damn well. Plus they are a little cheaper.

Re: A New Concrete Saw?

I forget what I used to use when I was doing hardscaping...what was it... 7-8 years ago. All I remember is that it was orange, a little touchy to start but worked very well with no problems.
