Fire Caulk Options


Need to seal penetrations in bottom plates & old party wall to pass commercial framing inspection in Denver, CO ... any advice for some fire caulk products?

You will only need those if you have back to back boxes within 24" horizontal in a rated wall.

we use the 3M "clay" blocks for most large openings (+1") it seems to work real well when you have to seal conduit stubs and wire ways through equipment room floors.

for anything other than that we use donkey **** or cookie dough tube caulk
