Commercial Framing Costs

I am a residential and multi unit residential framer. I have a 150,000 sq/ft wood framed dormitory to bid and need a good sq/ft price for a starting point to price this project. I know i can't use my normal prices for it and i know that a building of this size the sq/ft price should go way down. but how low? any advice would help

Re: Commercial Framing Costs

Why can't you use your normal prices, and why do you think the prices should go down? It's entirely possible that your pricing should go up! Have you read the contract you'll be signing? Do you understand that you'll be waiting for your money for 60-90+ days? Have you seen the insurance requirements, which are probably much higher than your current insurance? Do you have a big enough crew to keep up with their schedule, and if not, do you have the capital to put together such a crew and carry the payroll for 3 months?
