Spalling concrete stabilization

I looked at a concrete installation at a miniature golf course in need of repair. The concrete is a "rock" shaped into the course. It has been painted in the past several times. There are some areas that are spalling. Pulled off a piece of paint and it was backed with concrete . . .
Is there a concrete stabilizing product that would soak in to the concrete, harden it, and allow for patching and then painting?

If paint is the only thing holding it together its time to take it down. Sounds like your talking about shot crete. I would call one of them to see if maybe a whole new layer could go over and encapsulate the whole thing and make it all look new. If so I would hire hire them and make money on them. Then go make money at another job for those days. The paint could be an issue.

Thanks for the response Hoven. Why would the paint be an issue? It looks more like a hand shaped finish, not shot crete. Can they shot crete over chicken wire with decent shaping and accuracy? This is actually a "mountain" that has paths for the golf balls shaped in it and a slide and stairs. I was planning on stabilizing it and making some patching with Acryl 60 and try and reshape the damaged area. The stabilizing stuff is what you put on floors to harden before polishing. Will this patch be too hard and pull off the old concrete? Or is this just a bad idea?

Sorry for delay. I have never tried what your describing . Usually two different materials will never look or act the same. Check out fossil crete they sell a vertical mix that can be carved, stamped a rock texture and they may sell all the specialty tools and additives to go along with a proven system. You can get it in WI. on the fossil website there is a distributer list .

give em a call pick their brain. Google images of fossil crete applications to see if any of them look like what your trying to achieve.

sorry Its hard to answer your question without seeing the structure and its texture, color and problem areas to be helpful to you .

Flexcement by Yoder & Sons might work also.
