screed vibrator-cordless

Anyone have any experience with the Allen vibrator which runs off a 28V drill? Literature says you can do a 2000 sq. ft. pour on one battery.

Cleveman , I was looking at those a little while ago and I thought they looked a little flimsy for me anyway. I don't doubt it works ok in a medium to high slump mix. In stiff concrete I don't think its going to have the umph to follow say a cold joint in the sun or its hot load because a concrete truck is late.

A decent drill isnt cheap either and if you burn your drill up and have to buy another one now your pretty much a third into a gas model that has more than enough power and will last for years if taken care of. The other thing is the V28 cells are around 150 per to buy and who is to say that will be the standard in a year. I will say I have a Milwaukee V28 cordless set and the power is good and good right to the end with the lithium ion cells. I am going to buy a gas model. Just thoughts here
