Oil Stain rermoval From Concrete

The diesel car dripped all over the driveway this winter. Any suggestions for removing the stains?

If a common detergent and scrub brush will not work then try a powerful degreaser such as simple green, purple power, or mean green. If that will not get it up, then another solution may be what is known as a poultice, which is an absorptive material like kitty litter or sawdust saturated in a strong solvent like, Acetone, Xylene, Lacquer thinner, Or MEK. Once it is saturated, cover it in plastic and give it awhile to brake down the stain. Once it is broken down you should be able to wash it with a brush and detergent. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response. I'll get some simple green tomorrow. My wife is really upset about the stain.

Cover it w/baking soda. Sucks it up pretty well. Repeat every day for a good while.

I just bought a bag of oil dry (the granular stuff that is kind of like kitty litter) at HD

I poured a pile of it on the oil stain and then ground it into the stain with my boot until it was powdered, the stain was gone! took about 15 minutes, and 2 beers

The stain was accumulated over 4 years from my daughters car.

If all else fails, 20 more gallons of diesel and finish the job
