Odd Question At The Supply House This Afternoon
I must admit, concrete isn't my specialty but I was standing at the counter at my local masonry supply store this afternoon and they received a phone call that baffled the employees.
The look on their faces was enough to force me to ask what the question was (because ya never know, I may have the answer). They said it was a customer calling with a question about additives. This fellow (or lady?) was making concrete sculptures and having problems with "honeycombing". The sculptor wanted to know if there was something to add to the mix to make it flow smoother without adding water. I recommended vibration but wasn't sure if there was such an additive. Hopefully this isn't to stupid of a question

Also using a concrete with more portland cement in it should help as well. Donkey dicking it will also help. |
