New Concrete & Paving Forum!
I'm not sure why this wasn't added before but after getting a request from BlackGold I decided to add a Concrete & Paving Forum.
I added it to the Specialty Trades forum until it gets some decent posts in it. As with all the Specialty Trades sub forums we will wait til it gets about 2,000+ posts before moving the topic to the homepage. ENJOY!

Re: New Concrete & Paving Forum!
Thanks Nathan!
I do a little concrete paving. Walks, driveways and the like. This will be another good source to share ideas. BTW. really enjoy the sites, I frequent a few including this one. Nice job. |

Re: New Concrete & Paving Forum!
Okay, I have a wierd one for you guys...my wife owns greenhouses and we are trying to bring the whole operation a little closer to being NICE. We are not at the point where we can consider permanent (or semi-permanent) walkways. Right now we are using a coarse black sand (actually grey, and shale) as a topcoat. I would like to try "bonding" the uppermost layer with driveway sealer, maybe get to the point that the sealer is built up enough to be meaningful....offer some thoughts??

Re: New Concrete & Paving Forum!
Great to see a "home" for concrete and paving!!!!
It will only help to improve quality of the installations in addition to opening the door for new applications. The U.S. is slowly creeping up to the level of the rest of the developed world on interlocking concrete stone paving use. There is a lot to be gained by getting input internationally. Maybe this is why the Europeans are buying the cement plants and pushing the use is many different areas. Some of the biggest material suppliers are increasing investment in the use of concrete products if that tells you something. There is a wealth if information out there based experience that can benefit everyone! Dick |

Thanks, Nathan. I'll be checking in regularly. I've been in the business over 30 years now and still learn something new nearly every day.

Re: New Concrete & Paving Forum!
I've been looking for a place to share ideas about concrete. I will check back often to see updates.
One thing I have learned is that everyday there is new things to learn. I work for concrete, concrete does not work for me. |
