bidding concrete
i have someone who wants a small slab poured attatching to a old slab, there is little prep work and the job is only roughly 5yd of concrete...how much should i bid

Well, at least he was laughing so we'll give him the benefit of doubt.
Steve, Here is exactly what I would charge;
(Cost of materials + profit markup) + [(labor charge including burden, OH & profit) x number of hours] + oops factor if required = sell price.
Note: there is no reference to the going rate or how much anyone else would charge.

...so he should charge it at $125 an hour + materials + markup...doesn't get any easier...unless you look on CL
