sketchup question
i'm playing around with sketchup. Can anyone tell me how to make half rounds? I'm installing harding plank half rounds on a garage front upper gable end. I'm designing this so i can get it passed by the neighborhood association. They are picky so i need to be close with my plans.

should just be able to draw 2 parallel lines, then do an arc between the ends of the 2. It'll snap to a perfect half round for you.

or make a half moon with a line and an arc.
Draw a line from the end point of arc (where meets bottom line)
and use follow me tool

Ok this post promts a few questions if I may.. - Is sketchup pro a detailed drafting program?
- What file formats does it allow to be saved?
- Is it compatible with autodesk2000 or newer?

Matt, how do you post the drawing here? I tried the other day, and managed, but had a hell of a struggle. There must be an easier way.

I save the file on my computer
then use the "Manage Attachments" button under where I type my post under the Additional Options window

sketchup question of my own
Hi guys
I've been struggling to learn how to do 3 d designs of stuff for customers, and to help me visualize-, but i'm having lots of problems with (the free version) of sketchup.
I'm on a mac mini ( don't know if that is a problem . Iget red and blue squares following my cusor around, and lots of black lines, like ghosts - very confusing- anyone been able to eliminate these?
thanks
Tersh
