How big Is your monitor
For the guys that do cad work.
How big is your current monitor?
What is the minimum size screen you would use for cad work?
What is the biggest monitor you have used?

My monitor is 3 feet long, I feed it mice, if I feed it more it will grown to almost 5 feet long.
I named her Katie after my exwife, another ground belly dragging lizard.

dual 22"ers here. Total real estate is 11 3/4" high x 36" wide.
I wouldn't use anything smaller than a single 22" for daily CAD work.
24" was the biggest I've ever used.

A simple way to look at it......
as big as you can afford.
You can hook up the new LED Samsung to a computer. That would be the balls.
Personally I have a 24" Samsung widescreen, 1920x1200. It is plenty.
Lots like the duals. I have not swam in those waters yet.

Sorry Malco, how do you get around the low resolution problems with those? I tried that with my 1080p 42" and the text looked like crap.

The Resolution settings in "Properties" (right click desktop), if are off by one level, the text looks like Horses Arse!!!

Dual 20" flat screens.
P.S. Never buy 'Hanns_G' brand monitors.

I use the 15" laptop for larger deck drawings... Other wise I use my massive 8.9" mini. Hey I prefer to do my work where I am comfy.
I also ALWAYS use my logitech trackball way more precise than a mouse and better in many other reasons.
I draw mostly decks in Sketchup so I am not a full blown cad drawer.

I agree, what a pos the Hanns turned out to be. I only bought it as a secondary monitor and it barely functions in that capacity.
