Design, I am working on...
"Cottage on a sloping hillside waterfront lot"
Now take in account, I am about 30% done, will post more shots, when I get more done on it. All work has been modeled in Sketchup.

Killing time, or are you going to build it? I don't like false gables, but I am impressed.

Just curious, why the double gable on the West elevation? Aesthetics only?

Yes. It will continue on the east elevation as well. (Waterfront Elevation)

Is this a Remodel or new? If new I would lose the double gable. looks great though.
This is a job, right? Or just practice?

Guys don't lose faith in the double gable, wait until I have all the modeling done and then we can take a poll on it.
Jason this will be new construction and will be my own project. (vacation home / spec home)

No, but I like to do preliminary mock ups in Sketchup. The cool thing is I can export files directly into ArchiCAD from Sketchup which saves me a lot of time. Once I get the model in ArchiCAD, I can fine tune the design and get everything organized. I will post output images from ArchiCAD so you can see what kind of rendering engine it has versus what you are using.

Isn't Sketchup grand?
I kind of like the double gable roof design.
Like the wrap around porch. You should throw some rocking chairs in there.
You should tile the sun room. Is it screened in? or windows?

Revit is finally getting a decent rendering engine. It was accurender 3 which is the absolute worst rendering engine I've seen. Now we're going to get Mental Ray, not that it will make my export any different. What's then rendering engine in ArchiCAD? You guys have a VRay plug in don't you?
